Meet Josh Evermore
My name is Josh Evermore, and I have won awards for my writing since childhood. I've won school awards throughout High School and then more in College. In 2024, my first book won the silver award in the Global Book Awards.
I am married with two children, and my relationship with my wife and children is paramount. There are too many broken families! Too many parents don't know how to raise their children because they were never taught.
Too many children are not getting the guidance they need to succeed in life. That means there are too many unhappy people struggling day after day. My books are my attempt to help people like you find happiness in your families and in life.
That will mean making changes in your life. I have had to make them. They are called social skills. It was the only way for me. I grew up with problems with social skills, and I've learned to overcome them.
I Made a Vow That I Have Always Kept
When my father left our family, I saw and felt the damage his decision caused to my mother and my siblings. I made a personal vow never to leave my wife and family when I got them one day, and I have stuck with that promise. Due to my severe difficulty with social skills growing up, it took me until I was over thirty to get married and start a family.
Once I got married, we all had many challenges. No one is perfect. My wife and children all had social skills issues of their own. I had to learn social skills as an adult and then teach them to my children.
It took time for my children to realize that I was teaching them the correct principles and allowing them to fail until they tried what I had taught them. That's when it dawned on them that they should have listened to me sooner.
10 Years Child-care Experience
My youngest daughter was born with a disability. Since my wife made more money than I did, we decided that I would be the one to stay home to take care of my daughter and make what income I could from home. Everything I tried to do failed.
As my two daughters grew older, other children came to our home to play. Our neighbor, Tammy, watched as the neighborhood children, as well as her own, enjoyed visiting our home. I showed them how to make paper airplanes, launch rockets, build pinewood derby cars (one of which has never been beaten), and eat healthier.
She noted how I interacted with all the children, including her own, and how happy they were. One evening, as Tammy came over to retrieve her children, she mentioned that I should start a child-care business and that she would be willing to pay me to care for her children as she started a new job.
So, I registered a childcare business, got a license, and word spread and I soon had a thriving child-care business that adhered to all State laws and regulations.
My youngest daughter learned to speak with all those other children around. I helped quite a few fatherless kids learn new things. I even attended their school events, which meant a lot to them.
It was then that I received a surprise knock on my door. A person claiming to be from the government informed me that I had been thoroughly checked out and found worthy to assist a U.S. Military Branch with the troubled children of their enlisted people.
I'm Ordered To Be a Good Male Role Model
This person returned the next day with an eleven-year-old girl. I was told that this first child was a test and that I had to prove myself to be a "Good Male Role Model." This young lady did not speak and had endured years of horrible abuse, which I was never to know any details about. The only evidence of it was a badly scarred arm that hung at an angle from her body. I was forbidden ever to mention her name.
As time wore on, I received two more troubled children. I had all three in my care until they each turned sixteen. I was able to help the first and third girls improve their social skills. The second was too far damaged psychologically, and she resisted all my efforts to help her.
My Childcare Won a Few Awards
When the last young lady left my Childcare at age sixteen, I went to the State Childcare Office to tell them I was closing the business. The State office wanted me to stay in business due to our area's lack of suitable childcare.
I couldn't keep up anymore. I didn't know why then, but I felt old. Although I closed the childcare down, the state still awarded me Certificates of Excellence.
A few months later, I suffered multiple health problems and hospitalizations. Healing was slow. Several of the children I and my wife cared for returned to visit and thanked us for all we had done for them. Even the oldest of the troubled girls returned and informed me that even though that person claiming to be from the government did work for the Military, the Military had nothing to do with choosing me. Apparently, that government person told me many things that were not exactly true.
Now I Write Books
As my health improved, I needed to find more income that I could earn from home, and it needed to be stress-free. I was trained to write screenplays, but I had too few connections. So, I decided to write books and run it all like a business. I teamed up with a longtime friend who acts as my publisher. A man in Scotland helped us make this website.
All I need now is good people like you to read my books. Or, perhaps you can join my ARC Team (Advanced Reader Copy), who will read my new books and then review them on Amazon once they are published. That helps sell more of my books.
Or, Perhaps you will want to take one of my forthcoming courses. I'll write them, but my publisher will present (teach) them. He's not as good-looking as I am, but I'd rather write.
Thank you for visiting my website! I appreciate you and look forward to helping as many people as I can.
